bust a busey

One night…at [the hospital], I was sitting in bed…and saw the Grim Reaper standing in the corner. He was seven feet tall, with a brown robe. He pointed to me and said, ‘Relax, it’s not your time to go. You have been given gifts. These gifts are ready to be received by mankind. So get on your feet and improve.’ Then he laughed, spun his scythe and left. I wasn’t asleep and I hadn’t been for days. I met that [...]

does this mean i have to update?

oh quiver! I’m more featured than prime rib at an old folks home mother’s day brunch!

I have no idea where that simile came from and am not about to take it back now. i just woke from an impromptu nap on the couch upstairs. the last i remember i was dodging word by word thru the viscous prose of Chuck Palahniuk and fielding calls from work. I awoke an hour later smelling strangely of e.l. fudge cookies and vess root [...]

soooo stretchy.

we spent the night not grocery shopping, a first for this week. i’ve decided that i’m torn between aldi’s and dierberg’s. i love the savings and little old lady clutching a coin purse feel of aldi’s, but i also like having someone else bag up all those groceries. the price difference is negligible for sale items anyway. such a crisis. i could go to schnucks i guess, a cross between the two – but really it just crosses the [...]

urban renewal

manchester and 270 is the worst block of concrete in america. well, maybe not that bad… but for st. louis it’s a stretch. had to cross a highway twice to get to the other side of the street.

I signed amy up for a session at the healing arts student clinic for an hour session. An hour massage for thirty bucks can’t be beat! I’m going search around that neighborhood for a barbershop during that time.

eeny meeny

the new neighbors are moving in right now. we keep peeking thru the shades to see what they look like. all i’ve seen is the back of a head and a shoulder. soooo mysterious.

last night we had the fairy’s over for cranium playing. we haven’t done that in a while and it shows. amy and i lost to them for the first time EVER. in our defense, it was all her fault. (i’m pretty sure she never reads this… right?)

need [...]

so much to not say

so after a week of being without this faithful chronicle, i’m utterly unable to remember all those delightful and amusing things i wanted to say but couldn’t. one thing i can’t remember is why it was so significant that i woke up late one night suddenly seized by the, at the time, impossibly enthralling idea that… “”a circle is a shape in which all points in the perimeter are equidistant from the center.”” Yes, that was my thought. Apparently i [...]

back in the saddle again

as you can see, the entries are back. the old site came up today, so i ftp’d it and grabbed the old database. this host now is a bit slower, but only because i’m using a dsn instead of a direct connection string. malleability is good tho.
